Online Energy Code Training

Energy Code training is now available online and is available through the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs. The Courses available include:

Green Building Strategies - one (1) hour of CEO in-service credit

Water-Resistive Barriers - one (1) hour of CEO in-service credit

Commercial Envelope - two (2) hour of CEO in-service credit

Commercial Electrical Power & Lighting Systems - two (2) hour of CEO in-service credit

Commercial Mechanical - two (2) hour of CEO in-service credit

Residential Compliance Options - two (2) hour of CEO in-service credit

Prescriptive [Table 402.1(1)] Compliance and Software Compliance Methods

Adoption of the 2007 New York State

Energy Conservation Construction Code

The 2007 version of the New York State Energy Conservation Construction Code (ECCCNYS 2007) was formally adopted on January 1, 2008.  All projects permitted after this date will require compliance with the ECCCNYS 2007.  Copies of the ECCCNYS 2007 are available through the International Code Council by calling (800) 786-4452 or visiting their website at www.iccsafe.orgThis link will open in a new page.
